Chris May serves as Winterfeldt IP Group’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all areas of accounting and finance for the firm.
Chris May, who serves as Winterfeldt IP Group’s Chief Financial Officer, is a finance, strategy, and operations professional with a deep understanding of the crossroads between business and government, and a broad spectrum of professional experiences from Wall Street & corporate America to public affairs. Chris began his career as an analyst at a NYC-based hedge fund. During the Great Recession Chris moved to Washington, DC to join a global public affairs and business advisory firm, BGR Group, serving as deputy to the Chief Financial Officer. In 2010 Chris was accepted into the prestigious Finance Leadership Development Program at Lockheed Martin Corporation, a Fortune 100 multinational corporation. During his time at Lockheed Martin, Chris served in a variety of roles and projects spanning financial planning & analysis, mergers & acquisitions, business development, government affairs, contracts, investor relations, and corporate accounting. In 2012, Chris was recruited as Chief Financial Officer of a fast growing boutique government affairs and policy consulting firm, Kimbell & Associates. While at Kimbell & Associates, he worked hand in hand with the President & CEO to create and implement firm-wide strategies, internal controls and best-practices that would streamline the business and ultimately lead to substantial growth and profitability.
