Janet Lee is an associate at Winterfeldt IP Group who focuses her practice on trademark and Internet law, and has recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead at the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, State of Maryland.
Janet Lee is an associate in Winterfeldt IP Group’s DC office. Janet focuses her practice on a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters, including trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement, as well as domain name management and enforcement, including UDRP and similar proceedings to recover infringing domain names. She also supports clients on cutting-edge Internet issues, including social media management and enforcement relating to intellectual property issues, as well as policy and advocacy matters, including ICANN.
Directly after law school, Janet clerked for the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead at the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, State of Maryland. Prior to the clerkship, Janet focused her legal studies in intellectual property and served as a Smithsonian Institution Ambassador at the National Museum of American History. At American University, she served as the Senior Note and Comment Editor on the American University International Law Review Vol. 32, Blog Editor on the American University Intellectual Property Brief, and Deans Fellow for the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic.
Janet is a longstanding diversity and inclusion advocate.She has served as a staff member for the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, and remains engaged with the Institute, as well as with Winterfeldt IP Group’s other diversity initiatives. Janet has also recently been honored with the WCL Asian Pacific American Law Students Association’s Student Leadership Award in 2017.
