Justin Chay is an associate with Winterfeldt IP Group. His practice covers trademark clearance, domestic and international trademark prosecution, trademark portfolio management strategy, enforcement, digital brand protection, and domain names, including domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).
Justin brings a detail-oriented approach to contentious and non-contentious matters alike, with pragmatic recommendations that incorporate assessments of risk, cost, and likelihood of success. He has drafted winning complaints that have resulted in public UDRP decisions and the removal of fraudulent and infringing online content, and has successfully negotiated with opposing counsel to draft and execute mutually satisfactory settlement agreements.
Prior to joining Winterfeldt IP Group, Justin advised clients on trademark and digital brand protection matters as counsel to a start-up company and as an associate at a boutique law firm. Justin also served as a legal case manager at the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where he administered hundreds of domain name dispute proceedings.
Justin received his B.A. from Vassar College and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
