Sruthy is committed to addressing clients' needs in the digital space, ensuring effective brand protection, and resolving IP-related issues.
Based in Washington D.C., Sruthy recently graduated from the George Washington University, where she earned her LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and was an active member of the Intellectual Property Law Society. Her distinguished academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law from ILS Law College in India, both achieved with First Class honors. Sruthy's passion for intellectual property law began as an undergraduate intern for a leading Indian IP boutique where she worked on anti-counterfeiting enforcement and customs and border protection of trademarks.
Prior to joining Winterfeldt IP Group, Sruthy practiced as a trademark attorney at a top-tier firm in India for nearly three years. During this time, she managed Asian trademark portfolios and represented clients ranging from several Fortune 100 companies to start-ups in all aspects of trademark, copyright, and domain name law. Sruthy brings a depth of knowledge and experience in developing strategies for and enforcing brands in India and other South-Asian countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka for clients across diverse industries. Sruthy also has extensive experience with drafting and negotiating co-branding agreements, license agreements involving complex corporate structures and between unaffiliated companies, worldwide trademark assignments, and international master license agreements.
In addition to the intellectual property law practice, Sruthy volunteers in DC Pro Bono Center clinics including the Non-profit and small business legal assistance program.
